Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the technology organization and transform technology into a sustainable competitive advantage for the Group. The ideal candidate will build a fast, secure, AI-enabled technology platform that supports our growth across financial services and digital asset infrastructure.
As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CTO will define the company’s technology vision, drive engineering excellence, and ensure that our systems meet the highest standards of security, reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Architecture

• Define and execute the Group’s technology strategy, architecture roadmap, and engineering standards.
• Establish scalable, resilient, and future-proof technology foundations that support business growth.
• Drive innovation and evaluate emerging technologies that can create strategic advantage.

Engineering Leadership

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing engineering organization.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, continuous improvement, and operational discipline.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent while developing future technology leaders.

Platform Reliability, Security & Compliance

• Own the reliability, availability, security, and performance of the company’s technology infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational requirements applicable to financial services and digital asset custody environments.
• Establish best practices for risk management, incident response, business continuity, and infrastructure resilience.

AI Transformation

• Lead the adoption of AI across both internal engineering processes and customer-facing products.
• Implement AI-powered development tools, copilots, automation frameworks, and productivity solutions.
• Identify and deliver practical AI/ML use cases that improve efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner closely with Product, Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams.
• Align technology initiatives with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
• Serve as a strategic advisor on technology-related opportunities, risks, and investments.

Requirements
Must-Have

• Proven experience in senior technology leadership roles such as CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Engineering.
• Strong background in fintech, banking, payments, digital assets, crypto, custody, or other highly regulated financial environments.
• Deep expertise in secure, highly available, and scalable distributed systems and architectures.
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling engineering organizations and developing high-performing teams.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML solutions, AI-powered development workflows, or automation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with financial regulations, compliance frameworks, and security standards.
• Experience building technology teams and platforms from the ground up.
• Familiarity with digital asset infrastructure, custody solutions, blockchain technologies, or institutional crypto services.
• Track record of leading technology transformation in rapidly growing organizations.
